With trust and respect, teachers and administrators can focus their efforts on achieving positive outcomes.

Excellence takes courage, creativity, perseverance, humility, and self-discipline. It isn’t about being better than others, but about being your best self. It is a way to recognize unique talents and to let originality shine. It is celebrating achievements. It means learning from mistakes and approaching every situation with your best effort.

Community

When we prioritize family and community, we foster service, compassion, and belonging. Parents are a child's first and primary educators, and strong partnerships between families and schools are essential for student success. Healthy families build healthy communities, and a strong sense of belonging provides the foundation for learning.

Remove barriers to question period at Board meetings.
Make Board decisions and processes transparent to the public.
Make it easier for parents and teachers to engage with the Board.

Openness

Strong Foundations for Student Success

Early Years: Strengthen early learning, identify learning challenges sooner, and provide timely support for students and teachers.
Middle Years: Maintain strong extracurricular programs, improve parent-teacher communication, and ensure students receive the support they need to stay on track.
Secondary School: Protect and expand access to academic programs such as AP and IB. Maintain strong arts, sports, and trades programs, and strengthen career and post-secondary guidance.
